Kingoya Enterprise launches the EVAC 180 Palm Oil FFB Evacuator at the PIPOC Convention in KLCC

Motor Powered and ESG compliant machine to take palm oil productivity and sustainability to new heights

KUALA LUMPUR, 8th November 2023 – Kingoya Enterprise, a leading manufacturer of innovative agricultural tools and equipment for the plantation sector, announced the launch of the EVAC 180, its proprietary electrical FFB evacuation machine at the International Palm Oil Congress and Exhibition (PIPOC) 2023 on the 7th of November.

The EVAC 180 is a battery operated and motorised evacuation machine which has been designed to reduce the physical burden on the field worker while increasing the rate of FFB evacuation from the field.

With the press of a button on the machine’s handle, a field worker is able to trigger the devices motor during the evacuation process, toggling between five different speeds ranging from 2kmph to 16kmph. This provides the necessary support for augmenting the evacuation process and improving its efficiency.

The EVAC 180 is able to carry up to 180Kg of FFB per load within its UVPE netted carriage. The UVPE netting design also sieves out unwanted debris from each load, ensuring the only the cleanest FFB reaches the mill for processing, enabling a higher quality of palm oil output.

The EVAC 180 represents the most recent effort by Kingoya Enterprise to develop innovative technological solutions which effectively resolve ground level challenges for plantation companies. Earlier this year it launched the ECUT ACE Precision Electrical Harvesting Cutter at the International Planters Conference 2023 in Kuala Lumpur, which is intended to improve the efficiency and productivity of harvesting operations. Both the EVAC 180 and the ECUT ACE have been jointly developed with the support of IRGA Engineering.

At the recent National Palm Oil Conference 2023 organised by the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB), Chief Executive of the MPOA, Joseph Tek Choon Yee, spoke in detail about the pressing need to improve the operational efficiencies on oil palm plantation operations. He made particular mention of the need to reduce losses during the harvesting and transportation phases of FFB handling, which have thus far been a considerable amount.

In responding to the above commentary by Mr Tek, Gopi Nath Nair, Head of Field Services at IRGA Sdn Bhd, the parent organisation of Kingoya Enterprise, said that “The EVAC 180 is able to support industry objectives by providing the most efficient way for transporting oil palm FFB in the field. In addition to transporting larger amounts of FFB at quicker speeds, the device has also undergone extensive field trials to achieve a reduction in the heart of rate of field workers while handling the device, thus supporting their health and safety. This ultimately also contributes to greater levels of efficiency and productivity, as it reduces the downtimes normally associated with such operations from workers needing to rest.”

The company is currently developing an upgraded version of the device with the support of the IRGA Engineering team, which will feature three wheels and a larger carrying capacity of 360Kg. The EVAC 360 is also being designed to enable the transportation of workers in the field.

A soft launch of the EVAC 180 took place on the 7th of November during the International Palm Oil Congress and Exhibition at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre and the machine is now available to order for clients in Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak. It will subsequently be rolled out to the Indonesian, African, and the Central American regions. After sales support, including repairs and parts replacement will be in place within 6 months from the launch date.

About EVAC 180

The EVAC 180 is a battery operated and motorised wheelbarrow. With the push of a button, its multi-speed motor can be triggered to provide an added boost of momentum during the evacuation process. The EVAC 180 is able to carry up to 180kg of FFB per load thanks to its large housing carriage and specialised UVPE netting. The UVPE netting also allows it sieve out unwanted debris from each load, ensuring only the cleanest FFB reaches the mill for processing, resulting in a higher quality of CPO output. The EVAC 180 has been extensively field tested to reduce the physical strain on workers during usage, thus enabling better worker health and safety. The device is also 100% battery operated and therefore zero-emissions friendly and ESG compliant.
